Player Evaluations
Player Evaluations are $50 for a 1 hour evaluation. Email requests for dates and times to lessons@knightsva.com
Player evaluations are for players new to club volleyball who wish to be evaluated to see where they match-up with their age groups. Evaluations allow for honest assessments from a qualified coach on where your child ranks in regards to her volleyball skills. Each area of volleyball will be tested: hitting, setting, serving, passing, defense, and blocking. Parents will be able to hear a coach's honest and unbiased opinion of your child's ability, and recommendations will be given to enhance the weaker areas of a player’s skill-set. You will leave the lesson with an evaluation sheet with your child's current ability level and where they rank amongst their current "club" age group before they make the decision to transition onto a true club team for coming seasons.
Player evaluations can also be utilized for players currently in club who want to figure out their strengths and weaknesses and what they can do to become a stronger and more valuable player for the coming club season. A qualified coach will give an honest opinion on your goals and the attainability of those goals based on your current skill-set. This is not just for KVA players. We will evaluate players from any club and at any level. This evaluation will help each player and their family understand the athlete's current volleyball ability and help prepare them for upcoming tryout expectations and results. This evaluation will provide options to enhance both strengths and weaknesses prior to tryouts, and evaluate potential in all positions in order to find which position best suits a player's ability in order to make them a more valuable asset to their team of choice.
